This thesis is devoted to regional and traditional products which became a subject of an increasing interest on the European and Polish market. Based on the available literature and internet resources, the market has been described with particular emphasis. Registration of a regional and traditional product is an arduous and multi-stage process. Every year, however, on the list of regional and traditional products there are more and more items, which shows a big interest in these products. Thus, these products are the pride of the region but also play an important role in promoting the cultural heritage of the country on the international stage.
