The article describes the issue of asymmetry in peace operations and tasks necessary for the protection of peacekeepers in their activities. New asymmetric threats and asymmetric warfare requires tactical and technical changes. The paper describes SIMS (Smart Information for Mission Success) project (project of the European Defence Agency) that addresses current issues in the field of technical and tactical.
