This article continues the presentation of the foundations of market economy. One of them is economic liberalism. Author makes an attempt to precise what is hidden under this notion with particular attention to the economic liberalism. He is convinced that the main components, which on the other hand constitute simultaneously economic system called market economy, are: individualism, private property, economic freedom and entrepreneurship, free competition and co-operation, subsidiary role of the state, equal rights and opportunities for all the subjects. After preliminary explanations author presents the components one by one. He defines them shows their part and meaning in market mechanism. In the recapitulation he tries to show if and to what extend the ideas economic liberalism are rooted in Polish economy.
