The article presents the problem of safety and security in school from the perspective of a student. The scope of the phenomenon and the types of aggression and violence experienced by students from their peers and teachers were described. Psychological and sociological research showing the general upward trend of aggressive behavior and violence, as well as student rights to the protection and regulating its functioning in school were presented. It was indicated the necessity of system solutions for dealing with the phenomena of aggression and violence in schools and the need for the introduction of prevention programs in schools.
