This article demonstrates the difficulties present in the optimal utilization of ensuring public safety and protection in Poland’s commercial sector. The author conducted comprehensive theoretical and empirical research in this area diagnosing actively operating protection companies. The article contains courses of action that should be adopted to improve the current situation, in which the private security sector is not properly used. Indicated herein are detailed projects both legal, organizational and economic, to improve co-operation of all subsystems of public safety.
