In popular view, a security officers is synonymous with bodyguard armed in short firearms. In spoken Polish language type of weapon is referred to as “klamka”, or “handle” in English.. Such as “handle” must meet professional criteria to be counted among the officer’s armaments. As a weapon, it must be reliable, handy and above all effective. It must be contribute to the officer’s safety of operation, and allow for appropriate physical maneuverability and durability in service. No pistol or revolver can meet such extensive requirements, so not every piece of weapon is suitable for the tasks of protection.
