The paper presents an analysis and opinions about the qualities of tourism in the Węgrowski district. Particular attention is paid to the river Liwiec valley because it is the place which attracts numerous groups of tourists. The results of the presented analysis indicate that the Węgrowski district and the Liwiec river valley in particular, is an ideal place for tourists because of the great number of its sightseeing qualities. Not only beautiful landscapes but also monuments, legends, histories of the region, cultural and sports events, great location and well prepared accommodation and gastronomy base encourage to visit the region. The tourist attractions of the district are also presented as well as the results of the diagnostic poll concerning the youths’ knowledge about their region.
