Among a lot of factors influencing a successful course of events during a tourist event, the safety of its participants and in particular their safety may be mentioned. The legal safety may be divided into two groups. The first one consists of regulations connected with functioning of different tourist organizers, especially the ones which have a direct influence on the legal existence of a subject. The second group are the regulations directly applying to the realization of a tourist service, so the ones resulting from the contracts with the clients. To guarantee the legal safety every single participant of the tourist event should be convinced that they should know the regulations, the so called tourist law. In the article the chosen issues and legal problems are presented, in particular the ones which should be considered by their before any tourist or recreational event its by their participants.
