For many countries of the Middle East and North Africa 2011 was a year of social unrest. It affected Morocco as well. The Moroccans protested against authoritarian forms of exercising the power, immorality of the political elite, restriction of civil rights and deteriorating living conditions. New Constitution was accepted in response to the riots. The main goal of the article is to show the background, the course and the results of the changes happening in the Moroccan politics under the influence of “the Arab Spring”.
