The article presents chosen theoretical aspects of the social maladjustment. This is an important issue for interdisciplinary character, of both general pedagogy, and rehabilitation pedagogy. In the article the reader is able to remind the most important theses of cognitive psychology and gets to know how to combine them with pedagogy perspective. The main conclusion of this article sounds that a cognitive perspective as a theoretical base is the best solution for organizing process of social rehabilitation for juveniles and adults.The article mentioned as the example of cognitive, widely today often used – theory of the criminal style of thinking and a lifestyle which is created by Glen D.
