The purpose of the article is to present the philosophical inquiry method (P4C) in working with children aged 6–10 who participated in the „ZA PROGIEM” ‒ wyprawy odkrywców project. The study has a methodological and research nature supported by the participatory observation method. The first part of the study discusses the theoretical premises for the training of civic competences. A brief description of social changes caused by the digitization of social reality and by social inequalities is also included. The second part of the study presents exercises – thinker’s games, which were proposed to children and discussed. The children’s statements collected during the classes confirmed the effectiveness of the method and philosophical questions in the education process.
