Maria Łopatowska’s considerations related to educational reform and amendments to the Family and Guardianship Code, included in her 1992 book Pedagogy of the heart, are still up to date today. In the context of all the negative processes plaguing kindergartens, schools and institutions of higher education they have even become more important and urging. What are, then, the details of Maria Łopatowska’s 21-year-old proposals? New children should be placed in the same group as their sibling or a sandpit mate. Mothers should accompany their children throughout the first kindergarten days.
