The article deals with the place and role of sacral embroidery in Ukrainian Orthodox churches in the 17th–18th centuries. The peculiarities of the existence, typology and decoration of the sacral fabrics are determined on the basis of church sacristies’ descriptions. Artifacts from the collection of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve are analyzed.
