In 2010 a group of objects attributed to the Przeworsk Culture was submitted to the Chair of Bronze and Iron Age, Institute of Archaeology, University of Łódź, by a treasure hunter interested in objects from WW II. They originated from site 9 at Tomaszów Mazowiecki-Brzustówka, lying on the left bank of the Pilica R. and included a number of iron finds: a fibula, Almgren group VI, series 1, derivative from type Almgren 159 and 181, a shield grip, type Jahn 9, two spear points, type Kaczanowski I/1 and XV, two knives, shears, a fire steel, type Jonakowski IICa as well as a rivet or a pin (?), fragments of at least three pottery vessels, one of them a cinerary urn, and fragments of burnt human bones. The fibula was fastened to the fire steel, in a way never seen before in Przeworsk Culture material or that of its neighbouring cultures. Assuming that all these objects originate from a single grave assemblage, they may be dated to phase C1a.
