The complexity of surround of contemporary liturgical music in Slovakia is clarified. Numerous of current phenomena are casual deep-rooted in the past, so for their understanding it is necessary to return to the historical, social and another connections. Interest of the problems lies in intersection of three phenomenon: constantly topical reflection of liturgical reform of the Second Vatican Council, the experiences from period of communism and life and institutions of a plural postmodern world. The author explains the determinants of liturgical music advancement and formulates hypothesis for another research. He also describes the changes of liturgical music paradigm in attitude of the official Church, new conditions for fostering of the liturgical and spiritual music in Slovakia and universal relations of the globalization influences.
