This paper presents methodological and statistical aspects of research on the psychical change in people exposed to external factors such as, for example, psychotherapy or instruction. In the perspective of the methodology of psychological research the problem is connected with using of experimental or quasi-experimental design (without randomization), and in the perspective of statistics it is connected with models of repeated measures Anova/Manova. Author particularly deals with the question of measures of changes and indices of dependent variable variance explained by a given factor causing the particular change (omega-square indices).
