New and innovative SME's suffer from a lack of sufficient capital indispensable to cover costs of research and start-up. At the beginning the main sources of capital are financial means of project owner, as well as of his or her family and friends. Bank loans are not accessible because of low credibility and the lack of track record. Existing capital gap can be fulfilled by business angels' money. In developed countries a role of business angels is still increasing. In Poland the activities of business angels have just started.
