Radical transformations of many enterprises acting on the global market make academics and managers look for theoretical and practical inspirations in economic and management theories. Microeconomic enterprise theory seems to gain ever increasing significance. Contemporary theory of the open market economy, as well as entrepreneurial business management theory may become a methodological basis for launching new research programmes. New theoretical challenges, prospects and research interests of Polish management sciences are connected with microeconomic aspects of globalisation. Therefore, these issues should be broadly discussed in the environment.
