Realizacja praw osób z ASD, zawartych w Karcie Praw Osób z Autyzmem i Konwencji o prawach osób niepełnosprawnych, przyjętych przez Parlament Polski w ostatnich latach, wciąż napotyka na różnego typu bariery: mentalne, organizacyjne, finansowe. Autyzm (ASD) jest specyficznym rodzajem niepełnosprawności, bardzo zróżnicowanym wewnętrznie, wymagającym całościowego systemu wsparcia, uwzględniającego tę specyfikę i zróżnicowanie. Badania zawarte w dokumencie RAPORT 2013. Autyzm – Sytuacja Dorosłych pokazują, że prawa tej grupy osób niepełnosprawnych nie są respektowane, zaś proponowane formy wsparcia niewystarczające, procedury przewlekłe, a prezentowane przez instytucje i placówki pomocowe oraz osoby decyzyjne postawy – często niewłaściwe lub niekompetentne. Działania NGO są w tym zakresie wyjątkiem. Przykładem dobrej praktyki jest platforma internetowa „Kraina OZA” – innowacyjne narzędzie aktywizacji społecznej i zawodowej dorosłych osób z autyzmem w ramach urzeczywistniania należnych im praw. Narzędzie to, stworzone przez Fundację Wspólnota Nadziei, złożone jest z dwóch komplementarnych stron internetowych: www.krainaoza.pl i www.krainaoza.org – pierwszej dostosowanej do możliwości poznawczych i percepcyjnych osób z autyzmem i niepełnosprawnością intelektualną, drugiej tradycyjnej w formie, skierowanej do pracodawców, studentów, terapeutów, rodziców, ale także zainteresowanych nią osób z autyzmem i ogółu społeczeństwa. Platforma przeznaczona jest dla młodzieży i osób dorosłych z ASD, osób o zróżnicowanych możliwościach intelektualnych. Zamieszczone teksty czytane są przez syntetyzator głosu, treści uzupełniane o fotografie i piktogramy, a tekst wizualizowany za pomocą systemu Point. Część artykułów tworzona jest przez osoby z ASD. Platforma zawiera cykl szkoleń e-learningowych, dotyczących aktywnych form poszukiwania pracy, oferty pracy, zakładki dotyczące aktualnych wydarzeń, pocztę, czat, informacje prawne i szkolenia dla pracodawców.

Practical realisation of the rights of persons with ASD, as stated in the Charter of Rights for Persons with Autism, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, recently adopted by the Parliament of the Republic of Poland, continues to meet with a variety of obstacles: mental, organisational, and financial. Autism (ASD) is a specific kind of disability, in itself strongly diverse, and requiring a comprehensive support system that would take into consideration both its specificity and diversity. Research reported in the document titled RAPORT 2013. Autyzm – Sytuacja Dorosłych [Autism – the Situation of Adults] demonstrates that the rights of this group of persons with disabilities are not respected, that the available forms of support are insufficient, procedures overly prolonged, while the attitudes of the institutions, welfare agencies and decision makers are often inappropriate or incompetent. Activities undertaken by NGOs are an exception to the rule. We describe “Kraina OZA” web platform as a model of good practice – an innovative tool for social and vocational activation of adults with autism in the context of the practical realisation of their rights. The tool, created by the Fundacja Wspólnota Nadziei [Community of Hope Foundation], consists of two complementary websites: www.krainaoza.pl and www.krainaoza.org – the first, adapted to the cognitive and perception needs of persons with autism and intellectual disability, and the second, traditional in form, directed to potential employers, students, therapists, parents, as well as anyone interested in the subject. The website is addressed to youths and adults with ASD, with a variety of intellectual capabilities. It is equipped with a text-to-speech tool; photographs and pictograms reinforce the content, and the Point system provides an additional visualisation of the text. Persons with ASD are authors of some of the articles. The platform features a series of online courses, presenting active forms of looking for employment. The website includes listings of job offers, a news section of current events, e-mail and chat, legal information pertaining to employing persons with autism, as well as e-learning courses for prospective employers.
