The paper discusses the provisions of the Labour Code concerning the termination of employment contracts. Iit describes, among others, the duration of a notice period of employment contracts, the possibility of its shortening and lengthening, and the method of calculating the period of notice. The paper also presents a draft amendment to the Labour Code in this respect.
