The article approaches the problem related to teaching school subjects in the secondary school from the multicultural point of view. The changing situation into multicultural in the contemporary Polish society calls for the cooperation of teachers of different subjects. Teachers while working in the school should not try to keep the mentality of the one culture country attitude towards all stu- dents. They should show young people that it is possible to learn through the different school sub- jects the significance of tolerance and mutual collaboration between people from different cultural background living in the Polish society. Teachers should be made aware of the fact that the integra- tion of students from different countries and their peaceful cooperation with the majority is possible introducing new teaching methods. The article suggests that, the only thing we can do for the growing number of foreign students in Poland, if we do not want them to keep on feeling strangers among strangers, is to give them a clear school policy through the different subjects and to change social attitudes by enforcing educa- tion not “about” multiculturality, but “how” to live in the multicultural society.
