The article presents the results of empirical research on employee competence management. The source material consists of 106 telephone questionnaires done in selected organisations in the Malopolskie Voivodship. The first part presents the distribution of responses while the second analyses the relationships that exist between the answers to particular questions, and on this basis the conclusions are formulated. The results of the research were also used to produce a ranking of organisations by their level of management of employee competencies.
