At the beginning of 1919 the creation of Polish air forces had begun in Wielkopolska. Air forces where built mostly on the basis of the Ławica airport and the property acquired in the Zeppelin Hall in Winiary, near Poznan. The shortage of pilots and navigators was filled with former Tsarist Army airmen, brought to Wielkopolska, and by arranging efficient aerial training. Good organization of aviation in Wielkopolska has become an interesting topic for the authors publishing in the Przegląd Lotniczy in `20 and `30. Many authors where officers in the Polish Air Force, some veterans of the wars in 1918-1921, and younger officers fascinated history of polish aviation. Nonetheless the topic wasn’t analyzed enough. There were few articles about the Wielkopolska Air Force, until the half of 1919, and many more about the involvement of cus-tom units in the Polish-Bolshevik war (1919-1920). Most articles were written about the 15th fighter wing, and much less about the 12th, 13th and 14th, and 21st bomber wing was men-tioned exceptional. Most articles on this topic were published in between `20 and `30, and in later years this problem wasn’t considered interesting by the authors. The common feature of these arti-cles, is that the Polish Air Forces, are shown in a positive way, however the contribution of Wielkopolska wasn’t acknowledged more or less, then other regions of Poland.
