W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań empirycznych nad postrzeganiem autentyczności przez gości festynu archeologicznego. Badanie przeprowadzono wśród 405 osób odwiedzających XIX Festyn Archeologiczny w Biskupinie. Wyróżniono trzy rodzaje autentyczności: obiektywistyczną, konstruktywistyczną i egzystencjalną. Stwierdzono istotne różnice w percepcji autentyczności wśród osób o różnych cechach społeczno-demograficznych. Stwierdzono, że na ogólną ocenę festynu wpływ mają: ocena jakości festynu, znaczenie autentyczności oraz percepcja autentyczności egzystencjalnej. Na ocenę jakości festynu wpływa percepcja autentyczności egzystencjalnej. Z kolei znaczenie autentyczności ma wpływ na percepcję autentyczności egzystencjalnej i obiektywistycznej.
