Przedmiot opisu stanowią w artykule derywaty czasownikowe z przedrostkiem od- w znaczeniu anulatywnym, a więc w znaczeniu zniesienia, usunięcia stanu, cechy, wskazywanych przez słowotwórczą bazę, np. odlajkować, odklikać, odakceptować, odpikselować, odkłócić się, odpodobać się. Celem analizy jest zwrócenie uwagi na niektóre interesujące derywaty z tym prefiksem, w perspektywie historycznej i współczesnej, a także rozważenie możliwych przyczyn ich produktywności i statusu w języku. Współczesna „popularność” formacji słowotwórczych z prefiksem od- (tworzenie licznych neologizmów) może wynikać nie tylko z potrzeb nazewniczych, ale i z postrzegania, konceptualizowania zjawisk (rzeczywistości) przez pryzmat Internetu i komputera (w którym większość czynności jest odwracalna, da się anulować).

The objective of the paper is to describe verbal derivatives with the prefix od- in its nullifying function, that is with the meaning of removing a state or feature indicated by the word-forming stem e.g. odlajkować ‘unlike’, odklikać ‘unclick’, odakceptować ‘unaccept’, odpikselować ‘unpixel’, odkłócić się 'unquarrel’, odpodobać się ‘unlike’. The paper highlights some interesting derivatives with this prefix. Adopting both historical and present-day perspective, the analysis considers some possible reasons for the productivity of these derivatives as well as their status in language. It is argued that the contemporary “popularity” of od- compounds (manifested in multiple neologisms) may be motivated not only by the need to create new names but also by the perception and conceptualization of the world from the perspective of the experience with the Internet and computer use, which involves undoing actions, that is, nullifying them.
