Statystyki ekstremalne i ich funkcje stosowane są w kontroli jakości, w konstrukcji kart kontrolnych. Karty kontrolne monitorują średni poziom, zróżnicowanie lub wartości maksimum bądź minimum. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie wybranych kart kontrolnych wykorzystujących wartości statystyk ekstremalnych lub ich graniczne rozkłady m.in. rozkład Gumbela. Ponadto, w artykule zaprezentowane są wyniki analiz symulacyjnych dla kart kontrolnych tworzonych w oparciu o asymptotyczne własności statystyk ekstremalnych. Badania dotyczyły wpływu wielkości prób na wartości linii kontrolnych dla różnych rozkładów z grupy tych, dla których statystyki ekstremalne mają rozkład Gumbela.

Extreme statistics and their functions are used in quality control. They are applied in the construction of control charts. Control charts monitor the average process level, dispersion or extreme values: maximum and minimum. In the paper selected control charts are presented. These cards are constructed on the basis of extreme statistic values or their limit distributions, among others the Gumbel distribution. Additionally, in this article the results of simulation analyzes for control charts based on the asymptotic properties of extreme statistics are presented. The study was concerned with the effect of sample size on the control line values for different distributions from the group of those for which extreme statistics have the Gumbel distributions.
