This article Film as an Element of Cultural Portfolio in Cultural Training of Foreigners concerns the use of documentary and feature film in teaching of a foreign language as well as in classes devoted to cultural education of foreigners. The authors argue that film can stimulate language training, and support the teaching of knowledge about Poland. First part consists of a detailed description of the film classes organized at the School of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners of the University of Wrocław (curriculum, scenario and materials). Additionally, the annex contains sample materials related to two documentary films (Krzysztof Kieslowski's Talking Heads and Marcel Łozinski's Everything May Happen). They serve as great examples of possible materials for a lecture or classes devoted to the training of the social and cultural context for foreigners.
