Przedmiotem artykułu są rozważania na temat prawnego statusu hiszpańskich parlamentarzystów. Omówiono hiszpański proces wyborów parlamentarnych oraz istotę mandatów deputowanych i senatorów. W opracowaniu odniesiono się do tradycji konstytucyjnych panujących w Królestwie Hiszpanii – porównano dawne uregulowania ze współcześnie obowiązującymi. Jednocześnie zawrócono uwagę na podstawowe zasady konstytucjonalizmu hiszpańskiego. Przeanalizowano ponadto rolę, działalność oraz wpływ parlamentarzystów hiszpańskich w kontekście kształtowania się współczesnej polityki Hiszpanii.

The subject of this article is the legal status of Spanish parliamentarians. The Spanish process of par-liamentary elections and the essence of the mandates of deputies and senators are discussed. The author refers to the constitutional traditions prevailing in the Kingdom of Spain, comparing the previous regulations with those currently in force. At the same time, attention is drawn to the basic principles of Spanish constitutional-ism. This paper examines the role, activities, and influence of Spanish parliamentarians in terms of shaping contemporary Spanish politics.
