The main goal of the article is to present the origins and meaning of the basic assumptions of the British New Labour Party within the context of communitarianism thinking of state and society. It is an undeniable fact that the architects of New Labour incorporated some communitarianism ideas and concepts. It seemed especially important to focus on communitarianism values which, as modernizes of Labour Party argued, played the major means for achieving their principal aims. Whether the political project of New Labour could be treated as communitarianism proposition of fairer community becomes questionable. It looks that the initiators of New Labour Party were focused on creating a political program that would be an alternative to experiencing crises liberal individualism, and proposed by communitarianism ideas might serve as a meaningful bond joining the whole project.
