This article presents the analysis of the role of African economies in diversifying European supply chains amid growing trade tensions between the EU, USA, and China. The author identifies key strengths, such as access to raw materials and low labour costs, while addressing challenges like weak infrastructure and political instability. Using a mixed-methods approach, including statistical analysis and content evaluation of EU policy documents, this research highlights the EU’s strategy to reduce reliance on China by increasing co-operation with African countries. The findings suggest that while Africa has potential, its integration into European supply chains remains limited due to structural constraints.
