W artykule został podjęty temat życia w sztuce teatru i sztuki życia w rodzinie. Autorka poddaje analizie dylematy, które targają ludźmi zmagającymi się z konfliktami wyrastającymi między ich życiem prywatnym a pracą, która jest ich pasją. W tekście ukazane zostały również te niebezpieczeństwa, które wpisane są w zawód aktora i często wprowadzają dysharmonię między rodziną i sztuką, bądź też ją rozbijają. Na przykładzie małżeństw: Konstantina Stanisławskiego i Marii Lilinej, a także Antona Czechowa i Olgi Knipper-Czechowej autorka pokazuje jak nieprostym jest pogodzenie dwóch światów: rodziny i sztuki. Autorka również zastanawia się, czym właściwie powinno być życie w sztuce teatru, a także wyjaśnia mechanizm idealnej (duchowej) potrzeby poznania i twórczości, która stanowi źródło sztuki.

The article deals with life in the arts of theater and art of living in the family. The author examines the dilemmas that bother people struggling with conflicts springing between their private life and work – that might be called vocation. The text has also shown the dangers in the profession of an actor and disharmony between family and art, that can also break it. Basing on the example of life in art and art of living in the family marriages K. Stanislavsky and M. Lilina, and A. Chekhov and O. Knipper-Chekhov, the author shows how hard it is to reconcile two worlds: the family and the arts. In the text, the author also reveals what should be life in theater life art like, and explains the ideal (spiritual) needs of the knowledge and creativity, which is the source of determining art.
