The aim of the article is to distinguish and discuss different sources of childs loneliness in the family. The most important include: internal, subjective conditions such as psychological– existential determinants, as well as objective, environmental, and to some extent, human-related factors. Diagnosis of the reasons for loneliness is performed in order to support a lonely child. The article provides theoretical and empirical approach to the issue mentioned above.
