Prezentowany tekst został zainspirowany dyskusją, jaka się odbyła podczas logopedycznej, międzynarodowej konferencji w Chorzowie we wrześniu 2017 roku. Naukowcy dyskutowali na temat ważnych problemów związanych z teorią i praktyką logopedyczną. Kilku uczestników tej wymiany zdań postanowiło kontynuować rozmowę i podzielić się swoimi opiniami dotyczącymi nauki i praktyki logopedycznej, a także kształcenia młodych adeptów logopedii.

The presented text was inspired by a discussion that took place during a speech and language conference in Chorzów in September 2017. Researchers discussed important problems related to the theory and speech-language therapy practice. Several participants of this exchange of opinions decided to continue the conversation and share their opinions about speech-language therapy (SLT) as a discipline of science and SLT practice as well as the education of young students of SLT.
