The paper refers to the control of public procurement exercised by the President of the Public Procurement Office. It discusses the current regulations for the control of public procurement and indicates legislative changes to be introduced by amending the Public Procurement Law. Changes to directives on public procurement. In the new EU directives control issues were not regulated directly. This means that in this respect standardization issues were left to national legislators. However, our national legislator in the draft amendment to the Act regulated the control of public procurement very sparingly, even insufficiently. the so far applicable Act are caused by the introduction of new EU directives on public procurement.
