Zsuzsanna Gahse nie bez racji zaliczana jest do czołówki niemieckojęzycznej awangardy literackiej, charakterystycznymi bowiem wyróżnikami jej twórczości są: niezwykle kreatywne podejście do języka i podejmowanie różnych gier językowych, sytuowanie tekstów na granicy gatunków literackich oraz komponowanie ich według zasad przejętych z muzyki, malarstwa i architektury, czy też z tekstów literackich innych autorów. Zamierzeniem pisarki jest przy tym zniesienie linearności narracji i wywoływanie u czytelnika różnych skojarzeń oraz w efekcie zachęcenie go do podjęcia dialogu z tekstem. W artykule omówiono w ogólnych zarysach poetycki program Zsuzsanny Gahse, będący świadomą kontynuacją europejskiego modernizmu; wskazano zarazem na różne koncepcje jej tekstów, koncentrując się jednak przede wszystkim na jej dwóch ostatnich utworach „Instabile Texte” i „Oh, Roman”.

Zsuzsanna Gahse is rightly ranked among the top German-language avant-garde authors since characteristic features of her works are a highly creative approach to language and employment of various language games, placing her texts on the borderline of literary genres as well as structuring them according to the rules of composition pertinent to music, painting and architecture or taken from texts by other authors. The aim of the author is to do away with linear narration and to evoke various associations in the reader and consequently to encourage him/her to enter into a dialogue with the text. The paper contains an overview of Zsuzsanna Gahse’s poetic programme, which is a continuation of the European modernism; various conceptions of her texts are pointed out with the emphasis, above all, on her two latest works: “Instabile Texte” and “Oh, Roman”.
