Webcomic proves to be overtaking the place of comic books. The former is focused upon laughter and wide audience. Independent webcomic is a modern refuge place for artistic anarchy — disregard for copy rights, editing existing work and claiming it as one’s own. However, this is not a case with every single one of them. Capabilities provided by the internet allow for expanding the comic frames and enhancing webcomic with audio and animations (interactive webcomic). This caused depicting to be less of a concern. Moreover, interactivity gives everyone an opportunity to become an author, a reader, a critic, and to be more than just one of them at a time (sendceiving). Creators make new genres of webcomics by using certain elements of various existing images (sprite comic) or well-known themes and schemes (mem comic), by recreating others’ comic as a tribute to them (fan comic) and by returning to the primal function of a comic — a satire (comic blog).
