Can We Create a Polish Alexander McQueen?

Abstracts
The purpose of this article is to contribute to debate which aims to help the advancement of Polish fashion designers. The story of Alexander McQueen is taken as a pretext and an inspiration, providing arguments for further discussion. Moreover, we consider aspects of fashion that are part of the contemporary zeitgeist. To achieve it we are going to look at some less known, mostly younger designers coming from around the world that are interesting and appreciated on the fashion market. Combining what we can learn from Alexander McQueen's experience with the current zeitgeist and the reflection on the situation in Poland can give us some hints to find answers to questions regarding Polish designers of the future.
