A serious threat to the historic chambers of the mine and the salt sculptures inside them is the high humidity of the air pumped in to form ventilation. The problem is how to achieve a stabilization of the interior microclimate that: will prevent the uncontrolled condensation of moisture on salt surfaces. Experience obtained in the course of research conducted on the microclimate can be utilized in similar research on the interiors of historical above-ground buildings.
