The paper asks if there is possibility to study historicity of the comic literature. The classical, romantic, modern and postmodern literary discourses neglected the problem of this kind of historicity. The author suggests however that such historicity is being experienced and is connected with the unconsciuosness of the reader's culture. When the comical literature of the past is experienced as the comical it becomes a vehical of the knowlegde of the historical states of literature. These states are partially conscious and partially unconscious so they demand interpretation taking place at the border of the present (conscious of the culture) and the past (unconsciuois of the culture). The comic breaks textual universum of the reader and enables a momentary insight into the histori-cal, non-textual dimension of the literature.
