Abstracts

Mysterium Christi for Gregorian choir and organ (2012) by Michał Sławecki was composed for the final concert of the 26th Organ Conversatory in Legnica. We can call it a distinguishing artistic mark of the composer, because it reflects his education, specialization and interests (composition, sacred music and the Gregorian chant). The work is based on a tradition and a practice of the Gregorian chant: choral parts were drawn in crudo Graduale Novum, organ parts come from the composer’s invention. The main role of Gregorian chant used in the composition situates the work in the practice of choral fondamento.
