W artykule przedstawiono istotę, funkcje i cele procesów integracji na rynku transportu miejskiego. Za ich pomocą dąży się do stworzenia nowoczesnego systemu transportu w miastach, umożliwiającego szybkie, wygodne i niezawodne przemieszczanie się pojazdów transportu zbiorowego. W zależności od charakterystyki rynku proces integracji może być realizowany w zakresie jednego z trzech wyodrębnionych w artykule poziomów integracji transportu zbiorowego. Zaprojektowanie zintegrowanej oferty przewozowej wymaga doboru odpowiednich narzędzi ekonomicznych, organizacyjnych, technicznych i informatycznych. Wdrażanie rozwiązań integracyjnych w transporcie zbiorowym powinno być odzwierciedleniem rozwoju funkcjonalnego i przestrzennego miast, przemian dokonujących się w zakresie technologii transportu zbiorowego oraz występujących na danym obszarze potrzeb transportowych i przyjętej polityki transportowej.

The article presents the essence, functions and objectives of integration processes on the public transport market. The aim is to create a modern transport system in cities, enabling fast, convenient and reliable transport of collective transport vehicles. Depending on the market characteristics, the integration process can be implemented within one of the three levels of the public transport integration identified in the article. Designing an integrated transport offer requires the selection of appropriate economic, organizational, technical and IT tools. Implementation of integration solutions in public transport should be a reflection of the functional and spatial development of cities, changes taking place in the field of transport technologies. There are also important the transport needs and the transport policy.
