Poszukiwanie przez organizacje dróg do doskonałości doprowadziło do sformułowania różnych modeli i koncepcji jej osiągania. W tej pracy skupiono się na przedstawieniu tendencji w tworzeniu modeli doskonałości organizacji w zarządzaniu jakością. Przedstawiono wybrane istniejące modele doskonałości oraz ogólny cykl dojrzewania organizacji do doskonałości.
