Zdolność kreowania technologii oraz jej absorpcji decyduje o potencjale rozwojowym wszystkich krajów współczesnego świata. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi przegląd dotychczasowej literatury przedmiotu dotyczącej kanałów i determinant decydujących o prędkości zachodzenia dyfuzji technologii pomiędzy krajami. Część pierwsza analizuje trzy podstawowe kanały dyfuzji, za jakie uznaje się handel międzynarodowy, Zagraniczne Inwestycje Bezpośrednie, a także sieciowanie. W części drugiej podjęta zostaje próba usystematyzowania determinant dyfuzji technologii według klasyfikacji zaproponowanej przez UNCTAD – ze względu na charakter technologii, a także czynniki związane z dawcą technologii, odbiorcą oraz z polityką gospodarczą i społeczeństwem. Analiza ta pozwala na wysnucie szeregu wniosków oraz sugeruje potrzebę prowadzenia dalszych badań w tym zakresie.

Potential for development of all countries of modern World is highly dependent on the ability to create and absorb technology. The following paper constitutes review of the literature focused on channels and factors that determine speed of this process between countries. The first part of the paper analyses three basic channels of technology diffusion: international trade, Foreign Direct Investments and networking. In the second part methology proposed by UNCTAD is utilized in order to systematize determinants of technology diffusion. Examined factors are divided into four groups: related to the nature of technology, seller of technology, buyer of technology and determinants associated with economic policy and society. The analysis allows to draw a number of conclusions and highlights need for further research.
