The article presents an issue that has not been practically analysed in the legal doctrine and judicial decisions, i.e., the issue of the right of access to environmental information in possession of the Sejm. In this context, the author’s intention was to identify the motives for imposing the statutory obligation on this body to provide information, to indicate relevant interpretative directives of the provisions on the above issue and to suggest the results of their interpretation, especially in the light of emerging interpretational doubts related to the scope of the Sejm’s obligation and the form of refusing access to the requested information.
