Artykuł traktuje o funkcjonowaniu romskiej mniejszości etnicznej w Polsce i na Słowacji. W głównej mierze podejmowany jest temat możliwego wpływu Romów na bezpieczeństwo wewnętrzne przedmiotowych państw. Artykuł jest wynikiem badań przeprowadzonych przez autorkę w Polsce i na Słowacji dotyczących odrębności etniczno-kulturowej, stosunku Romów do pracy i edukacji oraz subiektywnego poczucia bezpieczeństwa związanego z zamieszkiwaniem członków romskiej mniejszości w obu krajach.

The Article is about functioning of the Roma minority in Poland and Slovakia. The main topic of the article consider the influence of the Romains on the internal security of the before mentioned countries. The Article is based on the results of the researches carried out by the author in Poland and Slovakia. The area of researches is the ethno-cultural distinctiveness, Roma attitude to work and education and subjective sense of security connected with dwelling of the Roma minority in both countries.
