W artykule podjęto temat podtrzymywania i przekazywania kultury narodowej w różnorodnych kontekstach, np. emigracyjnym i dotyczącym mniejszości narodowych. Na przykładzie węgierskich wspólnot żyjących poza granicami Węgier rozważano rolę poszczególnych zaangażowanych aktorów – państwa ojczyzny, organizacji pozarządowych, partii politycznych, podmiotów z diaspory. Warto postawić pytanie o charakter relacji między wspólnotami, które z czasem zaczynają się od siebie różnić.
