W artykule wskazano na pewne filozoficzne kwestie związane z problemem wykluczenia społecznego i próbami tworzenia polityki inkluzji i integracji społecznej. Postawiono pytania o to, czym jest i czy jest możliwa solidarność między osobami wykluczonymi a społeczeństwem oraz o wartość tożsamości i historii życia osób ubogich i wykluczonych. Kwestie te opracowane są w oparciu o prace ojca Józefa Wrzesińskiego i Jana Patočki. Analizowane są świadectwa życia osób ubogich i myśli o. Wrzesińskiego oraz koncepcja solidarności zachwianych i interpretacja platońskiej metafory jaskini Patočki.

The aim of the article is to put forward some of the philosophical questions linked to the problem of social exclusion, social inclusion and integration policies. It asks what solidarity is and whether solidarity between excluded people and society is possible; and what the value of identities and life histories of people living in persistent poverty are. These questions are elaborated upon in relation to the work of Joseph Wresinski and Jan Patočka. Testimonies about very poor people’s lives and the thoughts of Wresinski are analysed, as well as Patočka’s concept of solidarity of the shaken and his interpretation of Plato’s metaphor of the cave.
