The article offers information on a research related to aspects of business development and logistics information system of operators including 2PL, 3PL and 4PL conducted in September-November 2011. Topics of discussion included were the use operators in inventory and logistics management, customer service and warehousing. It also discusses the use of information technology tools including mobile phone network and transportation management by an integrated Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
