The author suggests recourse to the concept of cultural capital, which is part of Pierre Bourdieu's theoretical system, and equally important concept of political capital to redefine the tasks of critical sociology in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe - in this case in Poland and Russia. It is is also an attempt to bring questions about the role of modern intelligence. Zarycki theory of cultural capital refers to the analysis of modern societies in Europe Central and Eastern Europe in the so-called. peripheral countries, as it considers Poland and Russia. Poses questions about the ways and means to reference the above-mentioned theory of capital cultural analysis of contemporary societies.
