The paper represents Rurik Ivnev’s early verse research of poetic language and frames expressing love affect as “untold.” Distorted constructions combining the symbolic, the iconic, the haptic reveal tension between different types of signs, paradoxical communication prevents reader from a complete cathartic reaction and provides auto-identification crisis as a result.
